Ingredients

pearl barley

milk or water

pear
diced

cinnamon

maple syrup

Instructions
Rinse barley, combine with milk/water and salt in a saucepan.
Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer 20–25 min until tender.
Stir in pear, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Serve warm.
Notes
Tips: Add chopped nuts for crunch or a dash of vanilla extract for flavor.
