Course Dessert

Ingredients
  

  • cup Flour
  • ½ tsp Fine Sea Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Instant Dry Yeast
  • ½ cup Lukewarm Milk
  • Canola Oil

For the Filling

  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • ¼ tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Nuts (crushed)

Instructions
 

  • Sift flour into a large bowl. Add sugar, salt, yeast, and milk.
  • Mix well until a dough is formed.
  • Cover bowl in plastic wrap and let rest at room temperature until it doubles in size (roughly 1 hour).
  • Punch dough down 2 or 3 times, cover again and let rest for another 20 minutes.
  • In the meantime, mix filling ingredients together in a small bowl until well combined.
  • When ready, separate dough into 6 equal balls. Use oil on your hands to prevent sticking.
  • Flatten one portion of dough, add filling (about ½ to 1 tbsp), and seal by gathering the corners. Repeat until all portions are filled.
  • Preheat a frying pan on medium heat. Once hot, add a thin layer of canola oil.
  • Place dough in a pan with enough room to flatten each a little (when pressed down with spatula).
  • Cook on medium heat until lightly golden, flip and press down to flatten.
  • Once both sides are golden, reduce heat to low and cover for about 1 minute (until filling is melted).
  • Repeat until all dough is used. Enjoy!
