Split Pea Soup

Ingredients

dried split peas

carrots (small, chopped)

white onion (sliced)

sea salt

ground cumin
extra virgin olive oil

water
Instructions
Bring water to a boil in a pot on the stove top.
Add in split peas, carrots and onion.
Reduce heat to medium and let simmer for 30 minutes or until peas are soft.
Add to blender or food processor.
Add sea salt and process until pureed.
Add more water as needed for desired consistency.
Serve topped with olive oil and cumin.
Notes
Recipe makes approximately 3 bowls or 750 mL.
