Matcha Green Tea Latte

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 tsp matcha green tea powder
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup or alternative (optional – to sweeten)
  • 3/4 cup milk or plant-based milk of choice

Instructions
 

  • Bring water to a boil in a kettle or pot on stove top.
  • Add 1/2 tsp matcha powder to a cup.
  • Add boiling water to matcha and whisk until bubbles form and consistency is smooth.
  • Froth milk using a frother (or alternatively following steps):
    a. Heat milk on low-medium heat on stove top.
    b. Shake hot milk in a shaker or blender to froth.
  • Add maple syrup and heated milk to matcha powder and enjoy!
