Spanish Rice

Spanish Rice

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ medium onion diced
  • 1 tbsp garlic minced
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 ¾ cup water
  • 1 tbsp tomato bullion
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ cup tomato sauce

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, mix together water and seasonings. Set aside.
  • In a medium or large pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook onion and garlic until onion is translucent.
  • Add water mixture and tomato sauce, cover and bring to a boil.
  • Add rice, cover, and return to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, covered.
  • Stir, cover, and remove from heat.
  • Let sit for 10 minutes.
