Honey Garlic Tofu

Honey Garlic Tofu

Ingredients
  

  • 1 block tofu firm or extra firm
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400℉ and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cut tofu into ½ inch cubes.
  • Press liquid out of the tofu with paper towels.
  • Toss the cubes with oil, salt, and pepper. Add cornstarch and toss again.
  • Spread tofu out on a baking sheet and cook for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add garlic to the pan, and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and cornstarch to the pan.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil for 30-60 seconds until the sauce thickens – stir constantly, and then remove from heat.
  • Once tofu is done, toss in the sauce.
  • Serve with rice and veggies.
